March 4 Education Ends with Large Rally in State Capitol

On March 5^th, CFT activists embarked upon a multi-week march from Bakersfield to Sacramento to urge Californians to pick up and keep up the struggle for a better future.  The march was is in support of three fundamental ideas:  Restore the promise of public education, a government and economy that work for all Californians, and fair tax and budget policies to fund California’s future. 

The march ended in Sacramento on April 21 with a rally of thousands of supporters.  Several UC-AFT members were in attendance to welcome the marchers and congratulate them on their historic effort to bring these issues to the forefront with legislators and the public.
